Scheduling
Your general dentist will send a referral with corresponding notes and x-ray for review. Please allow us 24-48 hours to process your referral. Once reviewed by Dr. Mecham, we will be contacting you to schedule an appointment. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you as soon as possible.
Most appointments include evaluation and treatment, lasting approximately 1 – 1.5 hours in length. There are usually no restrictions after the procedure concerning driving or returning to work.
Occasionally your general dentist may request the evaluation be done in advance of treatment in order to determine the prognosis of the tooth. In this case, the appointment will last approximately 30 minutes and a treatment plan will be decided at that time.
Please assist us by bringing the following to your appointment:
- A list of medications you are presently taking
- If you have dental insurance, please bring your dental insurance card
- A method of payment
To expedite the check-in process, you may pre-register by filling out our secure online Patient Registration Form. Otherwise, you may fill it out when you arrive for your appointment.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics for pre-med.)
